Hunston Mill, parts of which date from the 17th Century, is half a mile south of the village of Hunston. surrounded by farmland. Hunston is a small village which is fortunate in having a Parish Church, a Post Office/General Store, a Newsagent and a pub called The Spotted Cow. The old coach house and stable at Hunston Mill have been converted into two holiday cottages and the ten sided former windmill and engine house into three flats.

All the accommodation is comfortably furnished with fitted carpets in the sitting rooms and bedrooms. All units have gas central heating and colour televisions. The bathrooms have showers over the baths. The kitchens are fully equipped and have gas cookers. All linen is provided including towels. Beds will be made up for your arrival. A high chair is available, also a cot and mattress.

There is a farm shop opposite for fresh vegetables, fruit and eggs. Groceries can be purchased from the stores in the village and there are several supermarkets in Chichester.

There are laundry facilities for guests and an outdoor drying area. The garden has spacious lawns with putting green. There are folding chairs, a Summerhouse, and a barbecue in the ruin of the old Mill Cottage.

There are many good reasons for visiting this attractive area. Whether you are interested in historic sites, sailing, walking or just relaxing, there is something for everyone. Only two miles away the ancient city of Chichester is particularly interesting with its Cathedral, museums, art galleries, excellent Theatre and many restaurants. A few miles to the south are the beaches of Selsey and the Witterings. To the west lies Chichester Harbour with its marinas and sailing opportunities. Chichester Golf Centre is 1/4mile away and offers two 18 hole courses and a 9 hole par 3 course - the attractive fairways can be seen from Hunston Mill. A few minutes drive will take you to Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve which covers a large area well known to birdwatchers and which provides attractive and interesting walks. Within easy reach are Portsmouth, Arundel, Goodwood and the Downs. There are leaflets in all the cottages giving further information on these and the many other interesting places to visit during your stay.
