The club is owned by a trust in the name of the Carter family. Kath and Walter, who founded the club, have now retired from direct involvement in the organisation and management of the club; but their daughter, Jane, and son, Steve, continue to provide members and visitors with beautiful grounds and excellent, well-maintained facilities in which to relax and play among like-minded friends.
Summer Holiday Offers at Croft From 9th July to 3rd September: book a pitch for seven nights and have an eighth night free.
Contact us now to take advantage of these offers. Please see our Bookings page for details of how to make a booking. Facilities include a large clubhouse, swimming pool and sauna suite, luxurious hydrotherapy spa pool suite, 18 hole putting green, miniten court, 2 lane pétanque terrain, shuffleboard court and volleyball court; also clay pigeon shooting on Sunday mornings.
Bring your own tent or caravan, or hire one of our fully equipped holiday caravans. Please leave a message on our message forum. Click on the "Enter my Forum" button below to enter. The club is well placed for touring Sandringham, Cambridge, Ely, Kings Lynn and the North Norfolk coast (including Holkham naturist beach).
The club, set in secluded old meadow surrounded by traditional Norfolk banked hedges, tall conifers and alder, is open from the beginning of April until the end of September.
Although the club is open every day throughout the season, it is at its busiest at weekends. Some members regularly arrive on Friday evening and stay through until Sunday evening, giving them a full 2 day break every week. Bank holiday weekends are especially enjoyable.
During the day, weather permitting, the emphasis is on open-air fun. Perhaps a game of pétanque or miniten, or a round on the putting green; or maybe sitting in the fresh air, chatting to friends and enjoying the beauty of Croft's abundance of colourful flowers.
When the weather is very warm, the pool is a popular meeting place.
As well as the organised events held throughout the season, various unscheduled activities take place most weekends. The atmosphere is always light-hearted rather than seriously competitive.
