 Poplar Farm holiday cottages are situated in attractive countryside with adjacent meadows leading to many footpaths and bridleways. They are ideal for family holidays where space is a consideration, or if you are just interested in quiet walks or riding; DIY livery can be arranged if you want to bring your own pony/horse. The sandy beach at Sandilands is a 15 minute walk away, 5 minutes by car. Sutton on Sea is a quiet seaside town suspended in time. It has a full range of shops, restaurants and hotels.There are recreational facilities including a Bowling Green, crazy golf course, tennis courts and children’s paddling pool. Sutton on Sea is a lovely traditional quiet and restful seaside resort where the award winning blue flag beach is the major attraction. It is very much a family seaside town.
Poplar Farm cottages comprise of sympathetically converted old stable and cart buildings in red brick with pantiled roofs. Spacious light beamed rooms with panoramic views over neigbouring farmland and the Wolds. Well-equipped kitchens with dining area. The Cottages are beautifully furnished to a high specification to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
For 2004 the new cottages, Peacock and Swallowtail are available. Peacock has been built with the flexibility to accomodate disabled or wheelchair users or those less confident on their feet. Peacock has been built to the same high standards as the other cottages.
Bedding, towels and all service charges are included in the cottage rental.
All cottages have access to a private seating and dinning area, as well as the walled courtyard garden planted out with exotic plants and ferns with attractive water feature.
In addition to this each cottage has its own patio, or private garden seating area. You will enjoy the space and freedom at Poplar Farm, the clean sea air, the many walks and the wildlife which is plentiful in this coastal haven, only a short walk from the sandy beach. Poplar Farm itself is purely recreational, with only hens, ducks & ponies on site.
The Beach Hut "Gilly-Gilly-Osompepper" situated at 16 South Promenade, Sutton-on-Sea, is available for hire by arrangement, if you would like a base for your visits to the beach. "Gilly Gilly" comes complete with deckchairs, cooking stove, kettle, buckets and spades.
